Sarah Merle Carr Freeman

Sarah Merle Freeman, age 81, of Northport, died Aug. 10, 2012, at Northport Medical Center-DCH. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cotton Freeman; her mother, Emma Goodman; and her father, Earley Carr.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Seaborn (Jim); her brothers, Morris “Billy” Carr (Nona Faye) of Carrollton, Gerald Goodman (Shelby) of Northport, and LaVaughn Goodman (Sherry) of Northport; her grandchildren, Michelle Houston (Jeff) of Madison, Miss. and Jennifer Jesser (Ron) of Tuscaloosa; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Audrey Houston of Madison, Miss.

Pallbearers will be Ron Jesser, Johnny Massey, Tommy Goodman, Nunn Long, Gregg Carr, and Michael Goodman.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Park Manor Nursing Home.
