Sara Bell

Sara Hubbard Bell, age 79, of Coker, passed away on April 25, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Samantha with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sara earned her LPN license from Phil Campbell and worked at several area hospitals, retiring from DCH Regional Medical Center. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with friends and family and traveling. Sara was a renowned cook and showed her love for others by baking and cooking for them.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Tank) Bell.

She leaves a daughter, Jackie Rasmussen (Darren) of Coker; sons, Kenneth Bell (Allison) of Colorado, Albert Bell (Jane) of Fayette, and Byron Bell of Coker; her beloved grandchildren, Josh and Jessica Bell of Colorado and Ben and Logan Bell of Fayette; and brothers, Bill Hubbard of Vance, and David Hubbard of Butler.

Pallbearers will be her sons, Kenny, Albert, and Byron; and grandsons, Josh, Ben, and Logan Bell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Lung Association .
