Sam Phillips

Sam was preceded in death by his grandmother, Leslie Faucett and his grandfather, Clyde Phillips.

Sam is survived by his loving wife, Holly Eurton Phillips; son, Asher Christian; daughter, Lettie Elizabeth; parents, Margaret and Clyde Phillips; brothers, Hunter Phillips (Jessica) and Drew Phillips (Nikki); grandfather, Sam Faucett; grandmother, Frances Phillips; nephews, Rhett, Brooks, Briar and Silas; nieces, Annabelle, Lindy, Lily and Rosie; in-laws, Karen and Adam Eurton; sisters-in-law, Mallory Sheppard and Kaily Eurton; brothers-in-law, Mathew Eurton and David Eurton, and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sam graduated high school from Tuscaloosa County High School in 2008 and college from The University of Alabama in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Sam started his career with Robertson Banking Company and moved to Regions Bank before starting an insurance agency with Allstate. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America Board, Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority, Tuscaloosa County High School Quarterback Club and was honored to recently be appointed to the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Board of Directors. He graduated from the Leadership Tuscaloosa in 2017. He was awarded Business of the Month from the City of Northport in 2021.

Sam was a loving father, husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle, community leader and businessman. He adored his children, Asher and Lettie, and loved spending time with them and being a part of their activities. Sam was an active member of One Hope Church and his men’s group, “Wings & The Word.” He loved the outdoors, including golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a lifelong fan and supporter of the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats and the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was so proud to live in the City of Northport and was a pillar of the community.

A visitation for Sam will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at One Hope Church, 1501 McFarland N Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at One Hope Church with Pastor Scott Moore officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Hunter Phillips, Drew Phillips, Brad Crow, Bryan Crow, Matthew Terry, Nick Porter, Michael McDaniel, Blake Burden and Brett Booth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Community Foundation of West Alabama for the Sam Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund, One Hope Church, or a charity of your choice.
