He is survived by his daughters, Lorianna Montz Gober (Zach) and Natalie Montz; parents, Richard and Rachel Montz; sisters, Jennifer Hallman (Steve) and Emily Sonneland (Jeff); brothers, Joey Montz (Ana) and Brandon Montz; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Lee was a very special man to many, especially his two daughters. Most of their lives he had to be more than just a dad. He was not only a single parent, but their best friend.
Lee was born in Greensboro but lived most of his life in the Tuscaloosa / Northport area. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High in 1991. He served in the United States Army as an expert rifleman and was the owner of A-1 Pro Tree for more than 20 years. If he wasn't cutting down a tree or spending time with his family, he was in the woods hunting or on the water fishing. He enjoyed playing with his many nieces and nephews that referred to him as "Crazy Uncle Lee." He was most certainly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Honorary pallbearer is Wayne Smelley.
