Mrs. Peggy Jones Jones Lollar

Peggy Jones Lollar, age 63, of Northport, died June 5, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Delaney and Bro. Carrol Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Annie Jones, and her father-in-law, John Lollar.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Lollar of Northport; her son, Shane Lollar of Northport; her sisters, Beatrice Latham (Doug) of Coker and Brenda Sexton (Don) of Northport; her brothers, Bruce Jones and R.L. Jones, both of Northport; her mother-in-law, Mary Lee Lollar; her sister-in-law, Brenda Jones; her brother-in-law, Sherman Lollar (Sondra); and her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Doug Latham, Brian Latham, Kevin Latham, Rohn Rhodes, Heath Cooper, and Wayne McPherson.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Rice’s Valley Baptist Church, Hunt Refining, friends and neighbors of Biscayne Hills, Dr. Stephen Browne and staff, Wayne and Jackie McPherson, Walter and Betty Hannah, Bill and Ruth Murray, Tuscaloosa County High School CNP, and all staff at Mellow Mushroom. Shane would also like to thank all the musicians in Tuscaloosa for their support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or the American Cancer Society.
