Mary E. Adams

Mary Evacile Harless Adams, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 14, 2016. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 18, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cheek officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Brownville where she was a lifelong member.

She was born to Sam and Sarah Harless on March 31, 1919 in McConnells “Brownville”, Alabama. She served in the Women’s Army Corp in WWII.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Adams; her parents and brothers, Edgar, Eugene and Glendon Harless.

She is survived by two sisters, Devenia “Dinky” Dockery and Virginia Montgomery; her children, Warren, Don, Marillyn Hewson, Carolyn Walker and Anita Morton and by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Craig Adams, Jeff Adams, Jason Adams, Eddie Walker, Matt Walker, Chris Walker, Brian Morton, Daniel Morton, David Hewson and Will Hewson.
