She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Ila Oswalt; husband, George Luther Williamson; brothers, Leonard, Roy and Clyde Oswalt; sisters, Myrtle Davis, Linnie Camp, Gete Holloway and Ludie Oswalt.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by her children, Jan Simmons (Robert) of Duncanville and George Edwin Williamson (Cynthia) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Ginny Ballard (Charles), Kim Allen, Kristy Williamson, Kyle Simmons and April Pearson (Walter); great-grandchildren, Brittany Allen, Anna Grace Allen, Abbie Kate Williamson, Trey Pearson, Caleb Wyatt and Cole Ferguson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of Sand Springs Methodist Church where she taught Children's Sunday School for many years.
She was the best mother and a friend to everyone. She enjoyed visiting the nursing homes, hospitals and going to singing.
Mrs. Williamson loved her family and always encouraged them to have a happy life and a happy home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Simmons, Abraham Austin, Craig Patterson, Gary Williamson, John Walker and Glen Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be The Winters Family, Sand Springs Methodist Church, Forest Manor Nursing Home, Dr. Pandy and friends and neighbors of Moore's Bridge Road, Hospice Nurses, Janet, Maria, Lisa, Sandy and Pat, and Ed's Barber Shop.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
Sunset Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, is in charge of services.
