Joseph Edward Hoggle was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on July 25, 1967. Joseph passed away on March 3, 2024. Celebration of life service will be held March 23, 2024 at 11:30 am Sunset Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service.
Joseph attended Vestavia Elementary School, Riverside Jr. High, and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School class of 1985. He then attended Shelton State, and Auburn University and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Joe attended the University of Alabama Engineering Masters program before accepting a job at Trane Technologies Birmingham. Over the years he also worked for Hardy Corporation Birmingham, Miller Electric Tuscaloosa, Air Tech Pensacola and most recently Trane Technologies Atlanta and Intergrated Cooling Solutions Orlando.
Joe is survived by his sister Liz Costello (Tim) Tuscaloosa; nephew Josh Walker; uncle Michael Onderdonk Chatom; aunts Leona Rowan (Bill) Mobile, Suzy Onderdonk Mobile, Josephine Avery Tuscaloosa, Jenette Richardson Moundville and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carmen and Troyce Hoggle, of Northport; grandparents Watson and Fannie Mae Hoggle of Moundville, and BL and Eunice Onderdonk, of Citronelle, AL; uncles Leon Hoggle (Mildred) of Demopolis; Otis Hoggle (Nicky) of Belamy, Joseph Onderdonk of Mobile and aunt Eleanor May, of Shawnee, OK.
He loved all sports especially football, fishing at Yellow Creek, riding seadoos and Ducati motorcycles. He enjoyed Perdido Beach and eating great seafood. He spent holidays and special occasions with his sister and her family, Adam, Chris, Timmy, and Kelsey Costello and Katelyn and Chris Burch and their babies. Joe worked long hours but spent most of his leisure time eating out, going to movies, shopping and fishing with his nephew Josh.
