On December 4th, services will be held honoring him at Sunset Memorial Park in Northport, AL. Friends of the family are welcome to pay their respects from 11:00am – 12:00pm with graveside services immediately following. Pastor Marc Sasser will be officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Channell, of Knoxville, TN, sons Eric Channell (Vanessa), Kevin Channell, his father, Lester Channell, sister Brenda Ragsdale (David), sister-in-law, Lisa Channell, brother Ronny Channell (Cindy), and granddaughter Sawyer Channell.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell, brother, Barry, and son, Keith Wayne.
Danny was born on January 22nd, 1960, to parents Lester and Jewell Channell in the Mount Olive Community of Coker, AL. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1978 and married Pamela Ballenger in 1982.
After 35 years of living in Alabama, the family moved to Morristown, TN, where Danny continued his 38-year career in management at Flower’s Baking Company. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to baseball games, exploring new adventures, and most importantly, being a family man. Those that knew him knows he was extremely funny, very patient, always willing to teach, and was the master of one-line quips.
There will be a celebration of life in Knoxville in the days following the main service in Tuscaloosa, AL. The celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 6th, at 6:30pm at Callahan Road Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN 37912. The address is 1317 Callahan Road, Knoxville, TN 37912.
