Jason is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hancel Carr, his grandparents James Roy and Carolyn Watkins, his grandmother, Phyllis Joan Carr, and grandfather Raymond Hancel Carr Jr.
He is survived by his daughter Kenli Carr, and son Brylan Carr, grandson, Kasen Robinson, his lifelong friend and mother of his children, Allison Daniels, mother Carmie Carr, sisters Jodie (Gary) Kizziah, Kadi-Rae Carr, Leanna Carr, and brother Bailey Carr, nieces Logan (Brad) Gray, and Kyia Benton, nephews Brodie Kizziah, Maddox Carr, and Cayden Bagget, great niece Everly Gray and great nephew Beckham Gray, Aunts Rita (John) Wilson Leanne (Kent) Holifield, Kerry (Kent) Kilgore, Kelly(Greg) May and Jamie Carr and numerous cousins.
Jason was born on January 3. 1973 in Northport, Alabama. He attended Tuscaloosa County High School where he played defense for the Wildcats. After graduating high school in 1991, Jason moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama where he found his happy place.
Jason worked as a captain and deckhand for over 20 years. He loved the ocean and fishing was his passion. He was an avid Alabama Football fan. He loved his dogs, Brizzo & Aqua Girl, and his favorite band KISS. Jason also spent a lot of his time in his garden, something he loved and learned through his childhood with his Big Daddy.
Jason had a heart of gold and was fearless. If you were lucky enough to be called a friend by Jason, he had your back for life. He loved his friends and family like no other. His presence brought joy to all that knew him. Jason was truly one of a kind!
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at Peterson Community Church. The family requests all of Jason’s friends and loved ones to join us to share memories and say goodbye to this wonderful soul.
