A visitation for Harry will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Church of the Highlands.
Mr. Mapp was born in Rock Mills, Al., March 29, 1951, to Emory O’Neal Mapp and Jewel Vowell Mapp Watt.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol S. Mapp; two children, Kristy M. Lee ( Shaun) and Christopher Chad Mapp ( Rebecca), both of Northport; six grandchildren, Abby Bean ( Brad), Ashton Pugh, Avery Mapp, Ayden Mapp, Drew Lee, and Lawson Lee; and one great-granddaughter, Palmer Bean; four sisters ,Brenda Hurst of Wedowee, AL, Rhonda Wilson of Roanoke, AL, Mary Jane McKinney of Hampton, GA, and Debbie Greene of Fayetteville, GA,; and six brothers, Kenneth Mapp of Five Points, AL ,Michael Toland of Hugley, AL, Charles Toland of Temple, GA, Steve Watts of Hoover, AL, Thomas Watts of Stockbridge, GA, and Nathan Watts of Hampton, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory O’Neal Mapp, Thelma Mapp, and Jewell Watts; foster parents, Coy and Bula Mae Robinson of Roanoke; sisters, Glenda Callahan of Dunwoody, GA, and Lollie Beth Puckett of Roanoke, Al.; and brother, Larry Wilson of Roanoke, AL;
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Ashton Pugh, Drew Lee, Avery Mapp, Ayden Mapp, Lawson Lee and Brad Bean.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ervin Lindsey, Walter Skelton, Charles Gann, Larry Miles, and Jeff Phillips
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Church of the Highlands, One Hope Church, Hospice of West Alabama, or Samaritan Purse.
