A graveside service for Glenda will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, 14837 AL-69, Northport, AL 35475.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Bruce Hamner and Fannie Lou Hamner; brothers, Ollie Hamner and Alvin Hamner; sister, Geneal Black, and son, Johnny Hewitt.
Glenda is survived by her son, Jeff Hewitt (Wanda); grandsons, Jeffrey Hewitt (Allison) and Justin Hewitt (Carie); great-grandsons, Elijah Hewitt and Riley Hewitt, and nieces and nephews.
Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother and mother- in-law. Glenda retired from the Tuscaloosa VA Hospital as a nurse.
