Frances Elizabeth Reece

COKER – Frances Elizabeth Reece, age 90, of Coker, died January 10, 2016, at home. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Big Creek Cemetery with Bro. Shawn O’Dell officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Reece; parents, Johnny Martin and Mattie Bell Hardy; sister, Adelia Jones; and brothers, Luther and Chester Hardy.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol Barger (Don), Linda Morris (Charles) and Donna Jones (Donny); sister, Johnnie Mae Tadlock (Harold) of Mabank, Texas; brothers, Hubert Hardy of Seagoville, Texas, Douglas Hardy, Clinton Hardy and Clifton Hardy; grandchildren, Charles Morris, Mary Banks (Russell), Dodie and Pam Morris, David Barger, Daniel Guin and Carrie Avans; and great-grandchildren, Tarah Morris, Tanner Morris and Emma Guin.

Pallbearers will be Charles Morris, Dodie Morris, Daniel Guin, Tarah Morris, Tanner Morris, Terry Poiroux, Michael McFatridge and Wayne McFatridge.

Honorary pallbearers are Dean Mills, Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Sue Britton, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Woods, friends and neighbors of Coker community, Ricky Robert, Robert Roberts, Gene McCraw, Dr. Deborah Davis and staff, Rita Cunningham, DCH Home Health Care and Monica.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
