He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Gray Jones, Jr.; and grandparents, Daniel Gray Jones, Sr., Mona Waters Jones, and Donald Fondren, Sr.
Evan is survived by his parents, Angela Taylor and Richard Taylor of Northport, AL; grandmother, Margie Fondren of Columbus, MS; brother, Joshua Jones (Stephanie) of Northport, AL; niece, Mackenzie Jones; nephews, Jackson Jones, and Tucker Jones; uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends he encountered.
Evan was a genuine person and a good friend to all that met him. He loved his family dearly, especially his niece, Mackenzie, and nephews, Jackson and Tucker. He was giving in spirit and always tried to help others as much as he could. He worked as the shop manager for Rick’s Quality Transmissions, which is his family business. He made sure and did the best he could to make his customers happy and do the best job he could do for them. If you read reviews of the business, many glowing reviews are about Evan. His love and ability to unconditionally care for his friends, family, and customers will forever impact those that knew him. He will be sorely missed by all of those in his personal and work life.
Evan knew the Lord and was ready to meet Jesus even though his life was too short for us here on earth he is rejoicing today and is living his best life.
A visitation for Evan will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM with Bro. David Fletcher officiating.
