Cora Lee Turner

TUSCALOOSA – Cora Lee Turner, age 91, died November 29, 2016 at Glen Haven Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. at Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Piney Woods Gospel Tabernacle Church with George Norris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 6pm-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church on Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Turner Jr.; sons, Robert Carl Turner, Clarence Edward Turner; two grandchildren, Rita Ann Maddox and Tina Marie Boothe Lassiter; six sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol Ann Bannerman (Charles), Sharon Irene Turner and Debra Lee Turner; son, James Michael Turner (Elizabeth); sister, Lois Whitt; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

She was a wonderful person and a very loving mother, wife and grandmother and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ken Hopskins, Chris Bradley, Edmond Turner, Tim Turner, Darrell Turner and Earl Willis.

Honorary pallbearers are Linda Hospkins, Rhonda Deese, Haley Maddox, Jamie Turner and Glen Haven and Comfort Care.
