Charles "Chuck" Wilson Tanner, age 58 left this walk of life for his heavenly home on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Grandview Hospital . "Chuck" was born November 30, 1961 to the late Davie Lee and Reba Sue Vickers Tanner.
Chuck was preceded in death by parents Davie Lee and Reba Sue Vickers Tanner, step - mother Jeanette Tanner and step - brother Mylan Tanton.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Teresa Tanner; daughter Marci Culbreth (Kevin); and son Sawyer Tanner; brother Davie Tanner, and step - sister Denise Smith (Dennis) ;grandchildren Charlsie Jade, Hunter Lee Hughes and Makenna Blair Culbreth and sisters Deborah Lee Baxter and Reba Dale Hall (Bruce) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held Sunday December 6 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service with The MissionHeirs, Bro. Ken Spencer and Bro. Joe Davis officiating.
Chuck spent many years on the road crew with Dr. Hook and enjoyed driving trucks for Culverhouse trucking for many years. Chuck was a member of Clements Road Baptist Church where he served as the chairman of deacons and music minister. Chuck had an awesome personality that portrayed not only his love for people but his love for his Lord. Chuck was the founding member of the MissionHeirs Quartet singing the lead part. Chuck also sang with Legacy Quartet. Chuck, no doubt to those that knew him, was a Godly man that loved deeply, gave generously and walked before men sharing the gospel of Christ.
