Charles Edward Coats

Mr. Coats is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Russell Coats; sister, Jean Francis Coats; brothers, Robert Coats and Bruce Coats. Survivors include his significant other (wife-like), Carol Abernathy; sons, Allen Coats (Becky)and Craig Arnold; daughter, Sherry Farley (Ricky); brother, Wayne Coats (Ann); sister Patricia Kyser (Curtis); granddaughters Celina Coats, Hannah Grace Trawick (Destin) and Ashley Farley, grandson, David Clement; newest great granddaughter, Ella Faye four more great grands and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle Charlie.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Sunset Funeral Home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Baptist Cemetery near Fayette.

Rev. Wesley Robertson and Dr. Robert Honea will officiate services.

Visitation for Mr. Coats will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Amedisys Hospice, Kim Allen, Sherry and Howard Herring, Eric Henley and Justin Nelson.
