Bura, a 1953 graduate of Gorgas High School, retired from Alabama Power Company with 37 years of service and traveled with his wife all across the U.S. after retirement. He was a humble servant of God his entire life and dedicated to helping others. ln his book he said "l was fortunate to live in the best time in history, in the greatest Nation on the face of God's green Earth." A Master Mason, Bura loved his Alabama Football, his church, his community, and just "sittin' around" with family. lf he was ever in a crowd of two or more, he never passed up the opportunity to take the podium and entertain. He grew a pretty mean tomato also!
