Betty Ruth Justice, 80, of Northport, died peacefully at home on April 11, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1942 in Decatur, IL to her loving parents, Kenneth and Bessie Grothe. In 1975, Betty Ruth moved to Alabama with her young family.
Betty Ruth was a woman of steadfast faith and persistent prayer. She brought a comforting presence to every person she encountered. In every community she called home, Betty Ruth was active in her local church, serving often as a teacher, and always as an encourager and prayer warrior.
Betty Ruth is survived by her two daughters and their families: Joni (Mike) Shankles, Avery and Will; Julie (Mark) Allison, and Ian; and by the girls' father, Max Justice. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill (Susie) Grothe and J.D. (Sandy) Grothe, and by many beloved nephews and nieces.
Betty Ruth's family will have a private celebration of her life.
