He is survived by his wife of 36 years; Susan (Hallman) Brothers, son; James Clinton "Clint" Brothers, Clint's fiancee; Haley Johnson, grandmother; Hazel Brothers, aunt; Kathy Brothers, uncles; Rodger (Doris), Randy (Lynne), cousins; Josh (Kim), Jenny, and Brandy.
Tony was a 1982 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and earned a degree in electronics from Shelton State Community College. He began his career working for Instrument Control Services alongside his father in Columbus, MS. His career then took him to Tuscaloosa Steel, followed by Phifer Wire Products, and finally back to Nucor Steel where he was set to retire at the end of this year.
"Mouth", as he was affectionately known by most everyone who knew him, was certainly one of a kind. He was always happiest when he was tinkering with his tools, shooting pool, playing Golden Tee Golf, and being surrounded by his many loved ones. You always knew when he was in the room, and you always missed him when he was gone. Life will certainly be quieter and not as interesting with him gone, and he will be sorely missed by all that loved him.
Sunset Funeral Home will host a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 12pm on Monday September 19, 2022. The family will receive guest's one hour prior to service.
