Albert Beatty Hamner

Albert Beatty Hamner, 61, passed away on June 11th, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama. He went on to be with the lord, while being surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives in his loving memory. He was preceded in death by his parents: Beatty Hamner and Katherine Hamner.

Albert is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Hamner. His two siblings: Melinda Hamner and Alvin J Hamner. He was a proud father to his seven children: Ben Hamner (Elizabeth) , Nichole Belcher (Allen), Colby Hamner (Hannah), Anna Allen (Chris), Brittany Hamner, Cordarius Hamner, and Roger Hamner. He was also a very proud grandfather to his many grandchildren including: Adam Hamner, Colton Hamner, Madison Hamner, Logan Hamner, Luke Belcher, Grant Hamner, Drew Hamner, Baby W, and Matthew Allen.

Albert loved spending time in the kitchen and grilling, creating delicious meals for his family. He also took every opportunity to spend time with his kids and grandchildren including being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed through his many ties in the community including his church family and his extended time working at the University of Alabama. He was a true man of God, Alabama fan, and his giving nature will be forever remembered in the heart of everyone who knew him.

The family will receive guests at Sunset Funeral Home June 15th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home June 16th, 2022 at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Bethel Presbyterian Church, officiated by brother Ed Stillman.

Pallbearers include: Adam Hamner, Colton Hamner, Allen Belcher, Justin Pate, Alan Spann, Lesley Sanford, Eric, Barnes, and Jordan Elliot.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Eddie Clements, Tim Hambrigh, Hospice of West Alabama,Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Druid City Hospital, Building and Maintenance at The University of Alabama.
