Alan Ray Richardson

Alan Ray Richardson of Northport, AL, born December 27 1963 in Jasper AL to Harold and Agnes Richardson. He passed away at Tuscaloosa DCH after a lengthy stay. Proceeded in death by his grandparents, Otis Levi Richardson, Betsy Richardson, Dole Robinson, Nelle Robinson, all from Lenoir City, TN. Parents, Agnes and Harold Richardson, sister Amy Nelle Richardson grandchild Rebekah Daffron all of Northport, AL.

Survivors include his twin brother Gary Richardson, sister in law Angie Richardson, Son Bradley Duane Cunningham, Life Partner, Jodie Lagrone, step children, Meghan Daffron (David) and Jay Lagrone (Danielle). Grandchildren, Madison DeCoux, Brianna Lay, Freya Cunningham, Davina Cunningham, Harken Lagrone, Evie Lagrone, Kayliegh Daffron, Zack Daffron, Joshly Daffron, Lilly Daffron. Niece, Marie Richardson. Step nieces and nephew, Kaye Ivy (Jeff), Jennifer Wright (Lauren), Amanda Williamson (Jamie), Joshua Hager (Haley), Shannon Hager (Kenny) and Kiley Nix. Host of lifetime friends that will miss him dearly.

Alan was an Alumni of TCHS Class of 1982. He attended Shelton State Community College, became an Electrician and a tradesman. And, most of his life was self employed. He was known and loved by many as Big AL, when there was an Alabama Football game to watch it was at his house where you’d find everyone yelling Roll Tide. Many people would pass through his home and he had a soft spot for each one. From yelling at them as a father, to being their therapists during hard times. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Honorary Paul Bearers are Class of 1982 TCHS, Nick Saban and the Alabama Football staff and athletes, all the employees at ZF Industries and Carrols Creek Fire Department and Carrolls Creek Water Authority the Communities of Northport and Samantha AL.

Visitation will be held: Sat Aug 19th 6pm-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Rd. Northport AL 35473

Burial will follow in Lenoir City, TN where he will be laid to rest with his Mother, Father and Sister.
