CLANCY, Mary(nee O'Hearn) In her 89th year, of Toronto, Ontario passed this life on September 4, 2010. She was well known for her quick wit, contagious laugh, and genuine sense of integrity. Mary was a wise woman and lived a challenging life- she was a survivor and a fighter. Her family grew to respect and love her for all the good in her. Mary is survived by her two loving daughters, Karen Clancy of Georgetown, Ontario and Michele Clancy-Zarb(Joseph) of Alliston, Ontario. Mary will be missed by her five dearly loved grandchildren, Leah and Danielle Smyth, Deanna, Joseph and Christian (aka Rodchester) Zarb. She is now united in heaven with her husband, William St. Charles Clancy, her parents Leona(nee Cloutier) and Edmund O'Hearn, two brothers, Shirl and Frank O'Hearn, and a sister Anita Sinclair. She will be dearly missed by her extended family members Brian Miley(aka Barney) and Cheryl Page(Jeffrey). Friends may call on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honour on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 24 Cheritan Avenue, Toronto, the church she attended as a child. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations in memory of "Mary" can be made to York Central Hospital (ICU) and Sherwood Court Long-Term Care Home. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sherwood Court who made her life brighter and to the staff in the York Central Hospital ICU for making her moments comfortable.
