Peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Baycrest Hospital, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late George Quillin (1993). Caring Mom of Rick and his wife Lena and Judy and her husband Mark. Proud Grandma of Ashley (Peter) and Amanda (Matt) and loving Great-Grandma of Johnny. Dear sister of Joyce Jenkins. Aunt of Kim, Tim, Scott and Gary. Joan will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. In her late teens, Mom supported the war effort in Britain working for the government and then immigrated to Canada in 1948 to be followed by her husband. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4th from 6-8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Private cremation.
