With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Jim at Sunnybrook Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Linda and their sons Andrew (Erin) and Scott (Heather), grandchildren Kiefer, Finleigh, Declan, Emsley and Isla, his sister Joan Drummond (the late George), and his nieces, nephews and their families. Jim was a long time teacher with the Toronto School Board and a fine musician. He sang in many choirs and played clarinet with the Royal Regiment of Canada Band and the Encore Symphonic Band. Jim faced his illness with dignity, grace and courage. He was a wonderful, gentle man with a beautiful soul and we will miss him dearly. Memorial service will be held at Thornhill United Church, 25 Elgin St., on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2pm, with visitation from 12:30pm. If desired, donations to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research – Sunnybrook Foundation or Thornhill United Church would be appreciated. Condolences www.rskane.ca
