Neville Alfanzo Clarke, who resided in Coquitlam, passed away in New Westminster on April 6th, 2024. Neville was born on May 28th, 1936, in Somerton, St. James, Jamaica to Ralph and Gladys Clarke and was the fifth of ten children.
Neville led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. He was a beacon of strength and wisdom for his family and friends and a pillar of his community. His love and guidance have profoundly shaped the lives of his children, and his values and memory will continue to inspire them.
During his lifetime, Neville worked as a cement mason, welder, and healthcare worker. He enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening, walking, and never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy. Neville was a member of The Jamaican Canadian Cultural Association of British Columbia.
Neville is survived by his wife Vashti, four children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout Jamaica, Canada, the United States, and England.
A Celebration of Life service for Neville Clarke will be held at Connaught Heights Pentecostal Assembly, located at 2201-8th Avenue, New Westminster, BC, on May 4th, 2024, at 11 AM. A viewing will take place in the prayer chapel prior to the service at 10 AM. After the service, there will be a reception in the church gymnasium.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of B.C. to honour Neville Clarke's memory.
