Linda passed away at the Cottage Hospice after succumbing to pancreatic cancer. Born in La Pas, Manitoba, she moved to The West Coast when she was eight and for the past 50 years lived in a magical neighbourhood in East Vancouver, which got its magic largely due to the endless contributions of Linda and Peter, her husband of 50 years.
They planted beautiful boulevard gardens that were greatly admired and appreciated by neighbours and visitors alike.
Linda had a beautiful and giving spirit. To her family, she gave her love and unwavering support. To the neighborhood children from their birth to age 14, she honored their birthdays with thoughtful gifts and cards. To the families she would open their home for Christmas and block party gatherings. To the city, she battled the changes that could tarnish her neighborhood with the strength of a mighty warrior.
Linda was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
