She lived in Las Vegas for 5 years and San Diego for 11 years before that but Vancouver was her home.
Kim would prefer to leave us with the memories of who she was, not the sadness of her passing. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and gentle spirit. We will miss her amazing pierogies and cabbage rolls. She had a knack for decorating and her house was plastered with “Sayings about Life”. When you looked at them, they made you think. They were a reminder of who she was and what was important to her.
Kim had a big heart and genuinely cared about people. She would go out of her way to make you feel warm and welcomed when you visited her. She liked to entertain and was the life of the party and fun to be around.
She loved animals, especially cats. She was affectionately called the crazy cat lady. She once saved a box of kittens from certain demise. Friends and family took some of the cats but she kept Lovey and Gracey. They along with Canuckie, were her babies. Peroggie and Kiwi met her in Heaven.
She was a loving sister, aunt and step mother, remembering birthdays and always sent balloons at life’s milestones. She had a bond like no other with her Mum. They were best friends and we believe that she was waiting for Kim with open arms, as she left this world.
Elvis was her first love. Her ring tone, her playlist and her Facebook page never let you forget it.
Please join us as we say farewell to Kim. The burial will take place first, at the North Vancouver Cemetery on Lillooet Road on Friday, January 12th at 10:00am. Shortly after the burial, the service will commence at 11:00 at Boal Chapel 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver.
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, now I am free.
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand and when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left if all.
Arrangements under the direction of First Memorial Funeral Services, North Vancouver, BC.
