Margaret (nee Whitworth)
March 31, 1934 - August 15, 2022
It is with great sadness, Marvyn and family announce the sudden passing of a beloved wife and mother at age of 88 years on August 15, 2022, at their home in North Vancouver, BC. Devoted in love and marriage for 65 years, Joyce will be dearly missed by her husband Marv and family; Sandra and Michael Miller, Corinne Shannon, partner Jeffrey Schlingloff, grandsones, Kevin and Garrett Miller, all her close Whitworth relatives and many friends. Joyce was predeceased by parents Ruth and Vern Whitworth in Vancouver and brother Douglas Whitworth. Besides her family, Joyce is survived by; close brother-in-law George Shannon and significant Pilar Sison, Whitworth niece Cathy, and nephews; Mark, Stephen, Christopher, and Connor, as well as several members on her mother's Ferris side. A kind, gentle person, may she rest in peace. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7 at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. A cremation is to follow. Flowers may be sent to the chapel. Donations in-lieu to a charity of your choice.
