Herman Charles Messerli, of Vancouver BC, passed away December 31 2023.
Herm was born to Herman and Aimee Messerli in Calgary AB, October 8 1938. He was a big brother to Edwin and Linda. The family later moved and lived in Vancouver.
Herman met and married Marilyn Meikle and had 3 children, Gary, Pamela and Leslie. He enjoyed family life and his hobbies included mechanical interests and music. His sense of humour and fun spirit was appreciated by many.
At a young age Herman suffered a tragic event that led to long term hospital care for the remainder of his life. All the nurses and staff at George Pearson Centre remember him fondly, commenting he was one of the nicest residents there.
He will be dearly missed and remembered as a hero by us, as he never complained about his situation and was a great listener who was supportive.
