As the days go by it is not easier to accept that Gordon is not with us at Oracle any more. We were all sure he will be back. Even when he had to go to leave he was so optimistic, positive, calm, relaxed.  He was like that all 10+ years I spent working with him. He was my manager too, teaching me and among others helping me to improve my English.  I will always remember his advice to write short and simple sentences to avoid errors. I will remember that he liked to cook, liked Starbucks coffee, gummy bear candy, had a pencil behind his ear while thinking hard at work... 

I will cherish my memories of Gordon and miss him dearly. It is so unfair and sad that he had to leave us. I know that for you Chris, Nicki and Steph it will be much harder to continue without him. You are the one who will miss him the most. Be strong and keep reminding yourself how wonderful person he was and how everyone liked and respected him.

Dear Chris, Nicki and Stephanie, we were shocked to hear of the terrible news. We remember Gordon for his easy-going manner, his great sense of humour and his love of travel.  Our heartfelt condolences to you all.  May the wonderful memories of him sustain you through this very difficult time.

I just heard about Gordon's passing from Graham Peake. 
I remember Gordon well from our time at Woodwards/DMR. My best memory of Gordon came when we created a skit based on Star Trek and of course Gordon Played "Scottie".

Gordon was a true, gentle and free spirit. In his unassuming way, he radiated a quiet confidence that made all around him feel safe and welcome. Gordon was always making sure everyone else was safe, happy and looked after. He never seemed to worry, get angry or even irritated. He seemed to sail through life and yet achieved so much; sailing, running, skiing, football, rugby and a great cook as well as being a loving husband and father. I think if we were all a bit more like Gordon, the world would indeed be a better place. He will leave a big hole in the lives of everyone who knew him, but none more so than Chris, Nicky and Steph. Our hearts go out to you. Wishing you much strength in the time to come.

Gord was a fantastic athlete and a great friend and a gentle person. He will be missed by the running group as we all tried to catch him as he gently ran and left us in his dust.
He will be missed, but he will always be with us (in our minds and our hearts).

The Celebration of Life ceremony gave a wonderful reflection of Gordon.  I had the privilege of working with Gordon when he was with DMR Consulting.

Chris, Nicki and Steph - We were very shocked and saddened to hear that Gordon had passed away. I enjoyed so much playing Wednesday night soccer with Gordon for the past 12 years (mostly I just watched in awe while he played).  Gordon was among the happiest and most positive people I have ever met (he was also the best athlete).  I really feel privileged to have known him. We will think of him every Wednesday night. Our thoughts are with you.

Gordon was a co-worker in my office, and although I might not see him for weeks at a time, his engaging smile and easy-going manner was always uplifting and refreshing.

Dear Chris, Steph and Nikki, we were so shocked to hear the sad news. Just to let you know that we are thinking of you all.

Dear Chris and family, I was so sorry to see the notice of Gord's untimely death today.  Although we had not been in touch for a while we well remember the DMR/Fujitsu Christmas kids' parties when all of our children were small.  Gord's love for his family always shone out.  I know that all of Gord's former colleagues would join me in expressing our sadness at this news.
