Dorothy passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband Glen. She leaves behind her daughter Lynda, son Cal and their families, and many nieces and nephews.
She imparted her wisdom, grace, and elegance to her 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. We are forever grateful for her impact on all our lives. Her family and friends meant everything to her. Dorothy lived her life to the fullest and was always known for her thoughtful, kind and loving nature, where helping and always thinking of others was her priority.
Dorothy was a successful business owner running her own women’s clothing store Dorthe Originals on Cambie and 18th in Vancouver for many years. She was an active volunteer over the years with AM Vancouver, Lady Vancouver Club, Women’s Probus of Vancouver as well as helping her husband with the Vancouver Arbutus Rotary Club.
Her family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff and residents of Suncrest Retirement Community in South Surrey. They were amazing in making it a safe and enjoyable place for Dorothy.
