Carole E. Prowse April 20, 1936-December 4, 2023
On the morning of December 4th our Mom Carole Prowse passed away peacefully in her sleep at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. Mom was predeceased by her parents Bob and Ruby and stepfather James Campbell, brother Arnold and sister Sally. She is survived by her four children Chris (Cherie), Valerie (Rob), Jim and Dixie, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, cousins Valerie, Ronald, Bob and Dalton and Auntie Joyce and their families.
Mom was born in Vancouver and later moved to North Vancouver’s Edgemont area in 1962 where she spent many happy years. Mom enjoyed spending time at our cabin at Gun Lake often taking us fishing. She and our neighbor Erna would often boast as to who would catch the biggest Rainbow Trout by summer’s end. Mom had a very close circle of friends throughout her life with whom she would travel, go to Casinos, shop (always for a bargain), and dine out. Mom also loved animals and could often be seen walking her dogs daily in her neighborhood. She loved watching her “Soaps” and listening to music turned up! Elvis and Harry Belafonte were among her favorites. Mom was also proficient at five pin bowling, playing on many teams and even scoring a perfect game once!
It wasn’t easy for Mom to leave her cherished home of many years and move into assisted living, however she was always a people person and was soon happy and settled in. Our family would especially like to thank all the attentive staff at Evergreen House for caring for our Mom all these past years.
As per Mom’s wishes cremation has taken place. No service by request.
Always loved and forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace Mom xoxox.
