Predeceased by her parents George and Shirly Runcie; her sisters Patti, Judy, and her two siblings Susan and Dougie, who died in childhood. Carol is survived by her husband David Roach, her sister Rhonda (Tony), her four children Chris (Liisa), Danielle (Scott), Derek (Morgan) and Dean (Susan) in addition to her eight grandchildren.
Carol was a devoted Mum, Wife, Sister, and Friend. Growing up in Dunbar, attending Lord Byng High School and singing in the Dunbar Heights United Church choir, Carol later made the natural progression to studying music at UBC. Shortly after graduating UBC, Carol married Dal Wagner and started work as a teacher at Hollyburn Elementary school in West Vancouver. Only a few years later, she started her own family raising four children, participating extensively in the education system of West Vancouver, and making sure all of her children grew up happy and healthy. As the children grew, Carol started to work with the family company (Wagner Engineering) and later became a Realtor on the North Shore of Vancouver and continued to practice with Royal LePage Sussex.
Many people are proud, but Carol radiated with pride for her children, her family, her work, and of course her dogs: Soda Pop, Demi Loup, and Gemma. Carol will be missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in peace.
