Bernie was an amazing person and an integral part of our family.  He had a quirkly sense of humour that always triggered much laughter.  We will miss his gentle way, his opinions, vast knowledge and stories.  Our deepest sympathy. Dave and I send our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Husband, father, and grandfather.  I was lucky enough to have a long visit with Bernie at the Save-on store one day shortly before his first stroke.  To me he will always be "Mr. Wells" my grade 6 teacher with the big running shoe that was used when the kids misbehaved and over the piano bench they went.  I was pleased that I was able to know him as an adult as well as a student.
