December 17, 1939 – September 13, 2024, 84 years old.
Jack came to South Florida in 1972 from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania where he grew up and started his family. In those Pennsylvania years, his experience included working as a pharmacist and some time working in a steel mill. After moving to South Florida, he worked for Monty’s Air Conditioning and as a Real Estate agent. Later, he became a licensed General Contractor for many years. He was proud of and had infamous stories of his vast project experience that included Belle Glade Correctional, Juno by the Sea motel (now part of Loggerhead), Presidential Medical Plaza and Cherry Lane townhouses in West Palm Beach, numerous properties in the Town of Palm Beach and a few homes in the Bear’s Club in Jupiter. He even spent some time as a football referee for local middle and high school football teams. He was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates and a member of the Moose Lodge in Palm Beach Gardens since 2003, a member of the Moose Legion 197, and earned his Moose Fellowship Degree in 2013. His colorful experience seemed to emulate a jack of all trades and he never met a stranger.
He was born in Lackawanna, New York to William Jack Hoskinson, Sr. and Jean Melrose Reutter on December 17, 1939. He is survived by his wife Linda Lou Naglreiter Hoskinson of 63 years. He is also survived by his daughter Jodylin (Chuck) Justice, grandchildren Ashlee and Brady Justice, Jon Hunter and Jessica Hoskinson, great-grandchildren Jack, James, and Mila, sister-in-law Joanna (Bob) Tait and brother-in-law Mark Naglreiter, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Dyann Jean Lambert, his son Jon Scott Hoskinson, and his niece Tracy Tait Camerlinck.
