William Stryker Haase

Died on October 21, 2017 a resident of Palm Beach Gardens Florida, formerly of Delmar, New York. The son of the late Dr. Henry J. Haase and the late Geraldine (Davis) Haase. He is survived by his wife Martha (Marty) C. Haase, his son William D. Haase and his wife Crystal L. Haase, his brother Henry J. Haase, his sister-in-law Mary Ellen A. Haase and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a graduate of Albany Academy, Williams College and the University Of Virginia Law School. Bill started his legal career at McNamee Lochner P. C. in 1966 becoming a shareholder at the firm in 1971, Bill retired as a shareholder in 2010 and became an of counsel attorney until his death. Bill received many awards being included in Best Lawyers of America. In 2016 Bill was awarded The Highest Possible Rating in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards by Martindale-Hubbell. At the Albany Academy Bill was the captain of the 1958 football team, the first under the legendary coach Ernie Steck. Bill played football for three years at Williams College. He was a long time member of the New York Bar Association and active in its Trust and Estate Section. For a few years before he retired he was President of McNamee Lochner Titus and Williams Law Firm, now McNamee Lochner P. C. Every summer Bill and his family vacationed for a few weeks at Seneca Lake near Watkins Glen, New York. Bill was a devoted husband and father who loved dearly his family and friends. Bill was a very quiet person with a great sense of humor. He loved to read his New York Post, mystery books and anything on sports. His joy was being with family and friends, going to football games and musical theater, vacationing at Seneca Lake, walking his dogs in his Delmar and Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood. Bill was a devoted Auburn College football fan. Bill was very appreciative of all the support and love of his family, friends and neighbors on his street during the last six months of his life. He will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held in Albany, New York in the late spring of 2018.
