Robert "Bob" Leonard Frank, age 90, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022. Bob was born August 14, 1932 in San Francisco, California to Helen Leonard Frank and Harry William Frank.
Bob graduated from Burlingame High School, and continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Business administration from the University of Oregon, where he was also President of his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta.
He worked in advertising, he worked at Aerojet, in real estate, and Robert's Furniture (which he eventually owned). He was also in the military with the Air Force from 1951-1953, serving in Japan and Korea.
Bob had a great passion for sailing and fishing. He owned several sail boats, including a 62' custom made Ketch, which he sailed across the Atlantic twice, to the Black Sea, Spain, the Mediterranean, Central and South America and the Caribbean etc. He was twice elected commodore of Coyote Pt. Yacht Club in San Mateo, California.
He married Cathy Lane on August 29th, 2007. They were married for 15 years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cathy Lane; his sons Bill and Roger Frank; his sister Peg Shambarger; his grandsons Tyler and Brian, and his granddaughters Sydney and Courtney.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Harry William Frank and his mother Helen Leonard Frank, as well as his first wife, and mother of his two sons, Sylvia Birch.
A celebration of life for Bob will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, with a memorial service to occur at 2:30PM at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway One, North Palm Beach, Florida 33408.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Community Care, www.alzcare.org.
