Richard Wallace Tisko

Richard Wallace Tisko (Tyszkowski) passed away on March 20,2016 at Jupiter Pavilion Hospice from a pulmonary disease. He was surrounded by family. Richard was was a loving family man, a wonderful husband,friend, a community volunteer, a World War II veteran and a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Alumnae Association. He was honored for his service with several medals including the Bronze Star.

Richard survived two loving spouse. He was a devoted to Mary Shea and then after Mary's passing he met and married Carolyn Thurman. Richard is survived by his 2 daughters Diane McNeal and Janice Marie and by 2 step sons Chad Thurman and Kent Thurman. Diane is married to Clyde McNeal and Kent is married to Jill Thurman. All his children have treasured Richard as either a father or stepfather. Richard is also survived by 2 married grandchildren - Christine Brown and her husband Jason and Ryan Tyszkow and his wife Christina.Christine and Jason blessed him with 2 great grandchildren - Lily McKenna and Jacob Richard. He is also survived by a step grandson who is married and has 2 children - Brandon Thurman.

Richard was a volunteer at the west palm beach Veterans Hospital for over 18 years. He was an Ambassador at the Waterford for many years. He will be honored at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at St. Paul of the Cross at 3pm. There will be a viewing at Howard Quattlebaum Funeral Home on Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 5 to 7pm. In lieu of lowers please make donations to the Disabled Veterans.
