Age 98, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021. He was born in Providence, RI on December 5, 1922 to the late Francesco and Katherine (Ruggiero) Spagnolo.
John was a proud US Army veteran and served in WWII as a sergeant in the 64th Topographical Battalion from 1943 to 1946. Upon returning, he met his love, and wife of 73 years, Ella (Lombardi) Spagnolo. Together they raised their 3 sons in North Providence, RI. John and Ella resided in Palm Beach Gardens, FL for the last 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ella; his sons John J. Spagnolo, Jr. of North Palm Beach, FL and Donald Spagnolo of Santa Maria, CA, also survived by his brother, Robert Spagnolo of West Warwick, RI, his 4 grandchildren Kathryn Ferris, Jeanna Spagnolo, Steven Spagnolo and Carli Spagnolo; 4 great grandsons Jake, Cory, Franklin and Vincent. Preceded in death by his youngest son, Steven P. Spagnolo, his brother Orlando Spagnolo and his sister Antonetta Iacono.
He will be remembered most for his kind heart and devotion to his family and military life.
