.John de Lacey Regan, Jr., of Juno Beach Florida, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2024. Although his passing was unexpected, he had been preparing for this occasion his entire life. John was born on November 23,1941 to Ann Carroll Baxter and John de Lacey Regan Sr. in Bayshore, New York. He was a beloved member of his community and touched the lives of many with his kind heart and generous nature.
In 1966, John married his childhood sweetheart Joan Schmid Coleman. John and Joan went on to have three loving daughters, Hope, Stephanie, and Faith. He was a devoted husband and father, and his family was his greatest joy in life.
John’s success as a businessman was impressive, as he went from being a weatherman and radio announcer to owning Regan Cleaners in Riverhead, New York and multiple Star Cleaner locations throughout Palm Beach Florida. However, despite his achievements, he was known for his big generous heart. He was always willing to help those in need and took the time to give back.
John was a man of great faith and service. He served in the United States Navy until 1965. In addition to his military service, John also dedicated his time to important causes, serving as the President of Prison Ministry, President of Palm Beach County National Right to Life, as well as 40 Days for Life. His strong faith in Christ was evident in all his actions, as he selflessly served and ministered to others.
In his free time, John enjoyed outdoor activities such as sailing, boating, fishing, biking, and swimming at Juno Beach. He also enjoyed gardening and taking long walks. Most of all, he loved spending time on the water with his family, creating cherished memories.

The one thing our dad, or do we say Papa, will always be remembered for handing out his prayer cards to introduce Jesus to everyone he encountered, he never knew a stranger. He will be deeply missed by many.
Services will be held at Howard/Quattlebaum Funeral Home, North Palm Beach on September 6, 2024, at 5:00 pm-7:00 pm for those that wish to pay respects.
Funeral service will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, North Palm Beach on September 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Belle’s “Old Port Cove”, North Palm Beach.
It’s important to remember that our dad would not want us to mourn his passing with sadness and tears, but rather to celebrate his life with joy and laughter. He would want us to wear bright colors and share the stories that we will hold dear in our hearts forever. We can find comfort in knowing that he is now dancing in heaven with Jesus.
