James "Jimmy" McCullough passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach,FL. James was born on March 6, 1942 to Edward and Catherine McCullough in Philadelphia, Pa. James was a graduate of West Catholic Boys High School in 1960. Jimmy was a member of his high school band playing the saxophone.
After graduation, he played with a quartet for weddings and private parties. One of his greatest passions was music, especially Jazz. Jimmy in his thirties discovered the love of Skiing and this become one of his favorite hobbies .He and his wife Dorothy enjoyed dancing where they met many of their good friends. Around the year 2018, he discovered that he loved cruising the Caribbean Islands and sailed at least three times each year after. He moved from New Jersey in 2002 to his present home on Singer Island. He considered this home is Heaven on earth. He is survived by his wife Dorothy who he married in September 1969 and just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
They had no children but are also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family, friends and others are invited to the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home located at 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach from 10:30 until 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 23. 2024, to reminisce, grieve and support each other and of course, just chat.
