Ellen Marie Casey, 89, of Juno Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 under the care of Hospice, surrounded by loving family, & taking in just a few more sunrises. Ellen was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 22, 1931 to parents Walter H. Blum & Ellen Marie (Ziegler) Blum. She was a long-time resident of Long Island, NY where she owned & operated R.J. Eiche & Assoc. with her husband Jim before calling Juno Beach their full time home. Ellen spent her formative years in Belle Harbor, Queens where she was a proud parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church. She was also a parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens, FL since inception. She was an avid golfer and more recently enjoyed playing Bridge weekly. She loved to decorate, shop, and dine at restaurants with beautiful views. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family & friends.
Ellen is survived by her loving son, Bergen Vincent Farrell, Jr. & his wife Suzanne (Esquirol) of Bellmore, NY. Grandsons: Daniel (Tara), Casey, Vincent (Jennifer), Derek (Tara), Jack (Michelle), Brendan & Jimmy. 14 Great Grandchildren: Christian, Kaelyn, Reagan, Sarah, Stella, Charlie, Riley, Joey, Scarlett, Sofia, Sean, Brady, Johnny & Rosie. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John Voglio (Eileen), her niece/“adopted” daughter Cindy Blum, Arthur & Elizabeth McLaughlin, Christine Chesarek (Will), Brian McLaughlin (Amy), countless nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends that meant the world to her. Also, her cat, Rosie who was her friend until the end.
Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, James "Jim" Casey, and her siblings Walter, William, Arthur, George, Betty Jane McCarthy and Peggy Voglio. Lucy Chessler was like a daughter and always close to her heart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2 from 5-7pm, Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation & Event Center, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 10am, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach.
