Cynthia Russomano (Cyndi) was born on February 2, 1957 in Lake Worth, Florida to the late Reverend Walter Valentine Crews and Mrs. Clyde-Marie Crews (Karen). Cyndi attended both Twin Lakes and Forest Hill High School. Cyndi graduated from both Palm Beach Community College as a dental hygienist and professor and Palm Beach Atlantic University in human resources. Cyndi gave birth to her two identical-twin daughters, Brittany and Tiffany in 1987 and then attended Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law graduating in 1999. Leading the class as valedictorian she was both Editor-in-Chief for NSU Law Review and graduated summa cum laude. Cyndi became the first NSU Law graduate to be hired from Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was promoted from associate to equity partner and shareholder after only five years, the fastest associate and first female to do so. Outside of work, Cyndi was the President and Chair for Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, a member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, Urban Land Institute, Member and Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Lawyers for Literacy Coalition and Committee, President of the Lake Worth Pioneer Association. Cyndi was a descendant of the late James Lewis Garnett and his brother the late Andrew Garnett, a Lake Worth Pioneer family and successor of the legendary Florida “barefoot mailman” Ed Hamilton’s courier services. The Garnett family took up the mail route after settling permanently in 1900.
Cyndi, the daughter of a Baptist minister, devoted her life to the service of God and others. Cyndi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and was a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her.
Cyndi is survived by her daughters Brittany; Tiffany Esser (grandchildren Keira Esser, Blaise Esser and Mariam Esser) of West Palm Beach, Florida; her sister Annette Wilson and her niece Stacy Wilson, of West Palm Beach, Florida.
