Age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Chuck was born on December 24, 1934 in Canicatti, Sicily. He came to America with his parents in 1936 at the age of 2. They settled in New York City where Chuck attended public school and learned English.
Chuck married Elaine Somberg on June 4, 1955, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Elaine and his sons, Anthony Vaccaro; John Vaccaro (Lynn Vaccaro); daughter Valerie Ruch; his granddaughters Jessica Ramm, (Drew Ramm), Rachel Ruch, Jacqueline Ruch and grandson Charles Vaccaro and great grandson Colton Ramm.
After completing High School, Chuck served in the US Navy then began a career as a technician for tv/ac and electronics repair. In 1969 he and his family moved to North Palm Beach, Florida where he worked for RCA/GE for 25 years. He was a top salesman and won many trips and awards. The family moved to Wellington and lived there for 36 years.
Chuck had many interests, including photography, ham radio and music. He was a professional photographer and a self –taught keyboard and piano “one man band”.
A graveside service for Chuck Vaccaro will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11am, Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road, Tequesta, Florida 33469. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chuck’s honor to Hospice of Palm Beach County or Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Juno Beach.
