Chuck was born in Cleveland, OH on December 12, 1945 to Carl and Helen Knudsen (both deceased).
He is survived by his loving wife Janet Churella Knudsen; his beloved daughters Michelle Knudsen and Tracy Knudsen Rossin and her husband, Brad; and his grandchildren Ella and Charlie Rossin. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law Karen Bloomfield Wolan and Linda Kissel and his nieces, his nephew and his great-nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a basketball player at Chanel High School, and then attended St. Leo University in Tampa, FL, on a basketball scholarship. Following his graduation, he worked as a teacher and a coach at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach before going into the insurance business where he spent the rest of his career.
An avid Cleveland sports fan, Chuck remarked that the best days of his life occurred when he married Janet, when his daughters were born, and when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the championship. He remained an athlete all his life, playing basketball, golf and tennis, and made wonderful friends who shared his love of sports.
A funeral mass will be scheduled at a later date.
