Catherine “Cathy” Neal, age 83, of Rockaway Beach, New York passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. She was born on December 7, 1940, to Elizabeth Barry and Thomas O’Brien.
She attended St. Mary of the Sea – graduated in 1954 and Stella Maris High School – graduated in 1958. She worked for AT&T in NYC then stayed at home to raise her children, which were her proudest accomplishments. Cathy owned and operated Cathy’s Hair Affair in West Palm Beach. Cathy was a long-time resident of Palm Beach Gardens for 40 years. At age 40, she married the love of her life, Forrest R. Neal, and they were married for 34 yrs. Forrest predeceased her as well as an adopted son, Michael Browne and stepson, Ray Forrest Neal Jr.
Cathy leaves behind 4 children, Deborah Aguilar, John Human, Cathie Alescio and Debra Pashley along with 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
