Dr. Carlos L. Aquino

Carlos was born on June 13, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois to Julio and Ramona (Peña) Aquino. He grew up in Río Grande, Puerto Rico where he met his wife, Myra Lopez. After graduating from medical school in 1979, Carlos and his wife moved to Jupiter, Florida where he began his pediatric practice. Dr. Aquino spent 30 years as a dedicated and beloved pediatrician in Palm Beach County before humbly retiring in 2009. Carlos was also an avid recreational pilot who loved to fly his plane in his spare time. He was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also enjoyed Tai Chi, playing classical guitar, fishing, boating, riding his Harley-Davidson, watching movies, reading and scuba diving. Carlos was a dedicated member of Christ Fellowship Español where he volunteered his time to medical mission trips. Carlos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend who will be deeply missed.

Dr. Carlos Aquino is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Myra Aquino; children, Carlos Aquino, Jr. (Kristin), Sashamara Hansen (Talor), Jaime Aquino (Hilary) and Harrison Aquino; brother, Angel Aquino; and grandchildren, Jada, Josiah, Amelia and Julian who will be arriving in April, as well as countless loving family members, patients, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jaime Aquino.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408.
