

Barry Seidman, recognized as one of the top advertising print media photographers in the country, passed away at his home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on March 26, 2025, at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Ann Kurasz.
A native of New York, Seidman was educated at Pratt Institute. He initially worked as an art director in an advertising agency, before dedicating himself to photography full-time. Known for his expertise in still-life photography, he collaborated with major global brands and later expanded his work to include celebrity photography and directing television commercials. His work was recognized through many industry awards including Clios, Tellys, Addys and the Art Directors Club.
In 2003, Seidman and Mary Ann Kurasz relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where he established a studio to concentrate on his fine art projects. His exhibitions in South Florida included: Bagged, Aperture Art, Three Sides of Seidman, Selections from Six, Excerpts, Drinks and Smoke, Me, Now, Handscapes and New Eyes. Additionally, he had seven solo fine art shows in New York City and participated in numerous group exhibitions.
