JOHN D. (Jack) NEMETH, 85, of Miami Shores, joined his parents, John and Amelia Nemeth, in Eternity on August 25, 2022. He was born March 24, 1937 in his beloved Chicago. A graduate of Morgan Park Military Academy and the University of Illinois, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was an independent contractor for Southern Electrical Equipment Company for many years, for which he traveled throughout Central and South America.
Surviving him are sons John (Beth) of California, and Gregory (Leslie) of Illinois; sisters Virginia Panozzo of WPB, and Kathryn (Dominic) of Miami Shores. He leaves behind several grandchildren, a great-grandson, many nieces and nephews and their children, along with friends he held dear.
John was a proud, staunch conservative Catholic, a long-time member of St. Rose of Lima Church, and, until March 2020, a weekly attendee of the Saturday vigil Mass. He was a true “Renaissance Man” who could discuss at length virtually any subject – history, physics, economics, geography, computers, and more. Always an avid music lover, a drummer in a trio during high school, he was a jazz enthusiast, having developed a computer library from his hundreds of CDs that played for 40+ days, 24 hours per day, without repeating.
Interment will be private, but a memorial service will be scheduled in the future.
I love you, big brother. I miss you dearly. Rest in peace. Sis
